**The Stables
After turning off the highway you travel along an asphault road for a few kilometres. Just as you start to feel that perhaps you've made a wrong turn you see a large red barn with white turnouts and the easily distinguishing training track (just west of the barn). There is an arch over the asphault driveway confirming that you have arrived at Cedarwood Stables. Everything around the stable looks very well maintained even the back pastures which you can see as you pull your car around the loop in front of the house. You see a couple horses in the pastures, some which have pricked their ears or else come to the fence to greet you, and suspect there are more inside. The owner of the stables, Ms. Jessica Kylar comes out to greet you and give you a tour.

Personality: He enjoys galloping in the big pasture where he can keep an eye on everything going on around the stables. With the new additions to Cedarwood he has become more aggressive trying to dominate the larger thoroughbreds being imported from the racing stables. Bonfire is a very difficult horse to train and to ride but for breeding his assertive nature makes him excellent around mares.

History: As a wild stallion he had a rather large herd of around 8 mares (in the wild that's pretty good). He was known across the lands for his fiery nature. No one really knows how he became separated from his herd when the staff at AWS rounded him and the others up. He was brought to Cedarwood stables after being captured near Adventure Wind Stables. All the staff there (at AWS) had been frightened of the stallion, and for good reason. He had a bad temper and the experience of fighting and evasion required to throw them for a loop everytime they tried to halter him. When Ms. Kylar decided to look around at all the horses that were up for sale there was simply something about the wild stallion that caught her attention. She wouldn't let anyone persuade her otherwise that this stallion wasn't worth the effort.

Personality: Quick Time has always been a very docile boy. He has always been well behaved around other horses when in the paddock before a race. Since he has started being used for a stud he has shown increased interest in the mares, we're unsure of how it will affect his racing form as of yet. Quick Time loves racing the other horses if he's put into one of the large pastures along side others.
History: He was out of an unremarkable mare by the name of Langollen Lady, or simply "Lady T" as her owners called her. Quick was named for his fleet footed-ness; however, as these things happen the owners of Lady T decided to put him up for sale as a yearling.

At the auction house Ms. Jessica Kylar happened to be scoping out new horses for her stable. Luckily for Quick, his unusually quiet nature caught her eye. A couple days later Quick along with Stardust Fire were transported to their new home at Cedarwood Stables. Quick was often put into the smaller front pasture with Star to socialize and frolic.

When he started showing interest in Star, the staff seperated them, keeping them in adjacent stalls. His training began shortly after as a 2-year-old. His maiden race was a smashing success with the big grey colt going 1 mile (1600m) in 1:41.613. He continued a decently successful career. At 5 years old Quick is training for his first race of the year, the Canadian Prairie Mile.

Personality: He is a playful stallion who often mimics the other horses nearby him. Sometimes this causes huge problems in the paddock before a race, especially if one of the other horses is upset. When he is at home between racing seasons he is allowed to stretch his legs in the back pastures. Fortunately for us, his friendly personality made him keen on greeting people who came to visit him regardless of where he had been in the field. Sun Raider gets along with most of the horses
History:Sun Raider was born on a very hot April afternoon, the thermometer was reading at an incredible 38 C (which is unusually hot for the area). It was Stardust Fire's first foal so everyone at the stable had come rushing out to witness the birthing. The birth went smoothly despite Sun Raider being slightly late, and effectively birthed a very large colt. He was a very playful colt running along with Brushfire back and forth along the fence. Eventually it was decided that it would be safe to keep the two foals and their dams together in one of the back pastures. When it came time to wean him, there was hardly a fuss put up, Sun Raider simply became distracted playing with Brushfire while Star was taken to a stall inside.

Sun Raider was an unusual coloured thoroughbred to say the least so as a 2 year old when Ms. Kylar and Mr. Welsh went to submit him into the Jockey Club registry they were initially declined. After much studying and lying, James finally found a loop hole to get Sun Raider registered and racing. According to the Jockey Club's records Sun Raider is a "grey/roan". Sun Raider seriously began his training at the age of 3, and didn't set foot on the track until he was 4 years old. James had been preparing a theory about breakdowns on the track (James is currently finishing his masters in Equine Kinesiology). The theory is that most young horses can't handle the pressure of performing as 2 and 3 year olds. Ms. K had given him allowance to use Sun Raider as his pilot project. Of course, he'd have to train several horses in this manner with few, or zero, incidence of breakdowns before there would be public awareness on the subject.
